Important - All measurements pertaining to the smaller size of this quilt will be contained in brackets next to the larger size.
For example:
Sew a 2 1/2" {2"} square to another 2 1/2" {2"} square to complete step.
Supplies:
- 72 Fabric 2, 2 7/8" {2 3/8"} squares
- 72 Fabric 4, 2 7/8" {2 3/8"} squares
- Basic Sewing Supplies
- Basic Cutting Supplies
Sewing:
- Place a Fabric 2 square & a Fabric 4 square right sides together. Make sure the side with the line is on top.
- Sew 1/4" from the line on both sides.
- Press open triangles toward the darker fabric.
Note - Pressing before separating the blocks will help make the HST units more accurate.
- Cut apart HST units down the drawn line. Each set will yield 2 HST blocks.
- Make 144 of these units and label them Unit E.
- Finished unit size is 2 1/2" {2"} square.
