Corner Block Correction

If you got your instructions for the Corner Block after 11/16/2015 you can skip to the Final Assembly steps.

There was a mix-up in the placement of the corners. I am including side by side pictures below of what the quilt will look like if you decide not to take the time to correct the corner block. It is a very subtle difference. If you decide not to make the correction skip to the Final Assembly steps.

  • Press in the corner blocks as pictured.

  • On one side, rip every 2-3 stitches.
  • Pull the thread on the reverse side gently. This will help avoid pulling too much on the bias pieces.
  • Repeat for all 4 corners.
  • Press corners and blocks after ripping.

  • Reattach Corners as pictured.
  • Press toward triangles.

Final Assembly

  • Sew the blocks into 3 rows as pictured. 
  • Press toward the Geese Blocks.

  • Sew the 3 rows together to form the center. I highly recommend taking the time to pin well.
  • Press any direction.

  • Attach the 2, 36 1/2" Fabric 3 (Light/Medium Green) strips to opposite sides of the quilt.
  • After attaching the 36 1/2" strips, attach the 38 1/2" Fabric 3 (Light/Medium Green) strips to the 2 remaining sides.
  • See the picture for an example.
  • Press toward the border.

  • Attach the 2, 38 1/2" Fabric 2 (Red) strips to opposite sides of the quilt.
  • After attaching the 38 1/2" strips, attach the 39" Fabric 2 (Red) strips to the 2 remaining sides.

  • Press toward the Fabric 2 (Red) border.

  • Attach the 2, 39" Fabric 1 (Dark Green) strips to opposite sides of the quilt.
  • After attaching the 39" strips, attach the 42" Fabric 1 (Dark Green) strips to the 2 remaining sides.
  • Press toward the Fabric 1 (Dark Green Border.
