Important - All measurements pertaining to the smaller size of this quilt will be contained in brackets next to the larger size.

For example:

Sew a 2 1/2" {2"} square to another 2 1/2" {2"} square to complete step.

Supplies:

  • 10 Fabric 2 triangles cut from 12 5/8" {9 3/4"} squares
  • 2 Fabric 2 triangles cut from 6 5/8" {5 1/8"} squares
  • 8 Fabric 1 - 8 1/2" {6 1/2"} squares
  • 4 Fabric 3 - 8 1/2" {6 1/2"} squares
  • 18 of Block 2
  • 28 of Block 3
  • Units/Rows from Clue 11
  • Basic Sewing Supplies
  • Basic Cutting Supplies

Important Note - For anyone making the smaller version of the quilt. There was a typo in the cutting instructions for the setting triangles. It said to cut 8 3/4 and should have said 9 3/4. The printable instructions were corrected on 5/26/2016. There will be instructions posted by the end of day on 5/27/2016 to correct the size so new triangles do not need to be cut.

Special Instructions:

Clue 12 is slightly different than earlier instructions. There are multiple potential layouts. Block 3 always appears in a 4 patch formation. There are 2 different layouts for the 4 patch. All of the patches can be done the same, or different throughout the quilt, leaving many different possibilities. 4 patch blocks go where the blank white squares are shown in the assembly instructions

6 potential layouts are shown below. Click on them to enlarge them.
