Important - All measurements pertaining to the smaller size of this quilt will be contained in brackets next to the larger size. 

For example:

Sew a 2 1/2" {2"} square to another 2 1/2" {2"} square to complete step.


Supplies:

  • 112 of Unit A
  • 28 of Unit B1
  • 28 of Unit B2
  • 56 - 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" {2" x 5"} rectangles
  • 56 - 2 1/2" {2"} squares
  • Basic Sewing Supplies
  • Basic Cutting Supplies

Sewing:

  • Make a 4 patch with 2 Unit A & 2 - 2 1/2" {2"} squares are pictured below.
  • Press toward the solid squares in Step 1 and either side for Step 2.
    Note - Pay close attention to the orientation of Unit A when sewing together the 4  patch.

  • Sew a B1, B2 and another A Unit to the Four Patch sewn in the previous step. See diagram below.
  • Press toward the B Units in Step 1 and either side for Step 2.
    Note - Pay close attention to the orientation when sewing these units together.

  • Sew 2 - 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" {2" x 5"} rectangles, and 1 Unit A to the unit sewn above.
  • Press toward the rectangles in Step 1 and press toward the unit sewn above in Step 2.
    Note - Pay close attention to placement and orientation when sewing these units together.

  • Make 28 of these blocks and label them Block 3.
  • Finished block size is 8 1/2" {6 1/2"} square.
